Expect problems and eat them for breakfast (Alfred A Montapert)

My job is to solve interesting problems.
Today it was to juggle all the various threads of information about our graduation ceremony (to celebrate the successes of last year's senior students) into a format - a script, that I could understand and use tomorrow.
Time pressures add a layer of complexity to that problem as well.
Plus, I can't do this alone and so waiting for information to come and continually checking my own understanding and that of others can be tricky. Worthwhile. But tricky.
The other problem, of course, is also juggling all the other competing needs and demands of the day and, being a Thursday - report writing day, there are quite a few.
That was today. There will be a fresh set of problems to solve tomorrow.

Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run there's still time to change the road you're on (Led Zeppelin)

According to James Clear, it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert as long as you’re on the path. If a beginner is on the path, all they need is time. If an expert is off the path, they won’t be an expert for long.

Can I trust you?

Teamwork is the foundation of success. The three universal questions that an individual asks of his coach, player, employee, employer are: Can I trust you? Are you committed to excellence? And, do you care about me?

Boston bean, soy bean, Lima bean, string bean. You know that I'm not keen for a bean unless it is a cheery coffee bean (The Ink Spots)

Many in NZ have adopted the brace position for the predicted deluge of Covid omicrom variant patients to come. I just can't though.
I noticed on some minutes from my local Principal group a list of what each school was doing to prepare for the mass staff and student absenteeism that is predicted. There were probably a dozen schools on the list.
Each one was different. Not just slightly different. Vastly different.
No one has the answer. We're all flayling away.
The mask wearing is a constant battle with students and, well, basically, to cut to the chase, I think the sooner we all get covid and it retreats to the status of the seasonal flu the better.
